It depends on a LOT of factors -- your bank's funds availability policy, the amount of the check, where the bank that the check is being drawn on is located (if it's from another country, it could take WEEKS for it to officially clear). You really need to check with your bank's policies.

For My Bank It Takes About One Day For In State Checks And Two-Three Days For Out Of State Checks.
