Well, forget the weekend. The bank will work on clearing that check come Monday. Then, it depends on if the check is drawn on a Wachovia account or some other bank. Being a government check, the bank will probably credit your account on Monday night so the money should be available on Tuesday.





If it had been a personal check, you could be facing several days before the bank would clear all the money for you to be able to use.

i'm with wachovia too. if your check didn't clear today it will tomorrow. the atm deposit thingy takes longer so good luck and happy spending!
