When you deposit a check how long does it take to clear?

Is it 12am or 12pm?When you deposit a check how long does it take to clear?
That depends upon the check, the bank (somewhat), the amount of the check, your bounced check history, and whether the drawer of the check is local.

Regulation CC determines how long banks may hold funds before making them available to the depositor. The rules can get complex, so here's a link that explains it as clearly as it can be explained: http://www.federalreserve.gov/Pubs/regcc鈥?/a>When you deposit a check how long does it take to clear?
Each bank is different, I have instant access to anything i deposit except third party checks.
If you are asking how long it takes to post then the answer is 12 am if deposited by a certain time of day (3 pm usually). A check usually takes two to three days to clear (that is when the money is transferred to your account and is yours). Some bank customers have overdraft protection so if your check hasn't cleared but you withdraw money from your account you can (for a fee--it is like a short term loan).
Depends on the check and where it's from, but often a few days. Your bank policy might allow you access to the funds earlier.
depends on what kind of check and bank.

my payroll check clears as soon as i deposit. a second party check takes ten business days.
