When you deposit a check on to the account in a bank, how many days does it take to clear?

The check is of a different bank and it's deposited in an account of another bank.

Kindly help. When you deposit a check on to the account in a bank, how many days does it take to clear?
Depends on your bank, how long you've been with them, the amount of the check, if it's from out of state or out of country, etc etc.

Usually no longer than 3 business days unless it's a really big check, like a couple of grand or something. When you deposit a check on to the account in a bank, how many days does it take to clear?
Average 3-5 business days - some more, some less. It can be much longer if the check is from out of the country.

If you are the recipient of the check and need the money urgently, you can ask your bank teller (at the time you are depositing) to call the other bank to verify the funds, that way it can be cleared sooner.
The actual processing of the check could be the next day or next week. Most checks process within 3 days.

However, you bank may have a hold policy for up to 10 days depending on the check amount and the bank it's written from. The teller should advise you of any hold on a deposited check.
checks clear electonically these days 1 to 3 working days. the actual piece of paper may take weeks to move around.
