Does your deposit slip indicate a hold on the check? Sometimes the bank will put a hold on a check for 3 days, sometimes 7 days. If the check is very large, it could even be longer.





Most checks actually clear within a a couple business days. But if the your bank put a 7 day hold on the check, you will have to wait out the full 7 days.How long does it take for a check to clear from another state. I put it in bank this morning.?
There is virtually no ';float'; time any more. It can be the same day but may vary according to the policies of the banks involved. It used to be that people counted on the ';float'; in order to make good on a check but that is no longer a dependable maneuver.
They should have told you then if they have a waiting period on checks, some can be 1 min to 1day, others 3-5 days, depends on the bank and how good they are at acting on this matter, all about customer service and satisfaction.
Bank of America 10 business days, NBT bank 3 days. Banks all have different time lines
The bank can put a hold on the funds for two business days for non-local checks. Longer if it's over 5000 or at an ATM.
It may take 7 business days........or it may clear right away. It depends on your bank. Ask them.
i think 3-5 business days, call your bank and ask how many days , usually 100.00 clears right away.
