How long does it take for a $200,000 check to clear at bank of america?

Has anybody had this much in a check that they need to cash if so how long did it take to clear with bank of america. and another thing, if you cashed it and it was then in your account how long would it take to wire transfer that money to someone elses bank of america account? There would probably be at least a 3 week hold on the check.

There would be a hold on the check unless it was written off a Bank of America account. It would most likely be a minimum of 7 business days, depending on your account balance history. I doubt you would be able to cash it anywhere because banks have to specially order the cash to be able to give one customer that much cash. Banks do not keep enough cash on hand to give one customer that much money. Once the check has cleared you should be able to immediately transfer money to someone else's account, which would post overnight the day you make the transfer.
if $200,000 is not a normal income for that bank account a HOLD would be placed on that account intill you call and confirm where the money came from. and you need proof.
