I just did my sort observation and applied for the job like last week on Wednesday. I was wondering how long does it take to pass a background check for this company or any company?How long does it take for a background check to clear for FedEx?

It can take a different amount of time for each company. It's also possible that a background check during the holidays can take longer as different people are taking days off etc.





It largely depends on which company FedEx is using to perform the actual background check. They should have given you a copy of the background check form. That form should contain the name and contact information for the actual company performing the background check. You can call them and ask their normal turnaround time. You can also call FedEx and ask for a copy of that form, which they should have given you.





Just don't worry about anything, you should have your answer within a week or so.

That is completely dependent on what company FedEx is using to run the background check. You should have signed a release giving your permission for the check and that release should contain the name and contact information of the background check company. If you have a copy of that information, just give them a call and simply ask. I get calls like that all the time. If you didn't get a copy of of the release, you can request one from whoever you applied with at FedEx. They have to give the information to you by law.
Usually a week or two, assuming it is not just laying on someones desk because they are too busy buying last minute christmas gifts online.
